St. Paul's Cathedral - Completed
in 1708 but still looks fresh and modern. Christopher
Wren designed it after the previous St. Paul's
was destroyed by fire. The Cathedral is 157 meters
long and 76 meters wide. The ball on the top of
the dome is big enough to hold 10 people. In the
Crypt there are the great tombs of two of Britain's
most famous military men - Nelson and Wellington.
(Closed on Sundays).
Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace
- We alight in the Mall and make our
way to the Queens Residence. (when the flag is
flying, the Queen is in residence). We will witness
the magic of the famous changing of the Guard.
When the Guard Change does not operate at Buckingham
Palace, we will visit Horseguards Parade.
Westminster Abbey - See of Coronations
of Kings and Queens of England since 1066. The
Abbey is the resting place of Monarchs, Statesmen,
Poets and Heros. (photo stop only)
Ancient City of London and Docklands
- This is the oldest part of London and houses
most of our financial institutions. We will see
our Stock Exchange, Bank of England and many famous
institutions.
The Tower of London & Crown Jewels - An Awesome
medieval fortress dating back 900 years. Here
we can feel the real pulse of English History
around us. The highlights of the visit must surely
be the dazzling display of the fabulous Crown
Jewels.
