St. Paul's Cathedral
(St. Paul's)
The Cathedral church of the London Anglican
diocese is the largest church in London and stands
on top of Ludgate Hill. Rebuilt by Sir Christopher
Wren after the Great Fire of 1666, St. Paul's
represents the ultimate genius of this architectural
expert. This Renaissance creation took 35 years
to build. After climbing the 538 steps to the
dome, you can enjoy a panoramic view of London.
London's coronations are held in Westminster Abbey,
but over the centuries some of London's most historic
events have taken place here. Guided tours cover
all areas of the cathedral otherwise inaccessible
to the public, and last about an hour.
